American professional tennis player, Serena Williams, and Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, on Thursday tied the nuptial knot in New Orleans.
Serena stormed the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ themed event in a £2.6 million custom-made Alexander McQueen ball gown.
The ceremony came weeks after the birth of their daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.
The star-studded wedding was witnessed by close friends and family members including award-winning pop star Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Ciara, Tina Knowles, Kelly Rowland and sister, Venus Williams.

Mr. Ohanian shared a photo of the wedding with a heartfelt message.
“@serenawilliams: You are the greatest of all time, not just in sport–I’m talking about as a mother and as a wife. I am so excited to write so many more chapters of our fairy tale together. And my whole life I didn’t even realize it, but I was waiting for this moment. And everything that I have done, everything that I am so proud of in my career, and in my life, for the last 34 years, pales in comparison to what we’re doing today. And I am so grateful, and I am so in love. @melbarlowandco@allanzepedaphotography”, he said.
According the SKY News, the couple met by chance at a hotel in Rome. While she was there to play in the Italian open, he was there for a conference.
About 18 months later, Mr. Ohanian proposed to her in the same hotel and at the same table where they first met.

The Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Dr. Emeka Ogah, and the Director of Finance as well as the Director of Administration, Mr. Sylvester Ugama and Mr. Christopher Ogbu, respectively have regained their freedom from kidnappers’ den.
The trio were kidnapped last Wednesday by unknown gunmen in Ajaokuta, Kogi State while returning from Abuja.

Details of how the adducted medical workers regained their freedom were sketchy as of the time of filing this report.
But the Chief Press Secretary to Governor David Umahi, Mr. Emmanuel Uzor, confirmed their freedom.
He said that the trio regained their freedom in the early hours of Sunday.
Uzor commended security agencies for the release of the victims, stressing that the CMD and other principal officers of the hospital were hale and hearty after their release.
Reacting to the development, the Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, Ebonyi State chapter, Dr. Austin Ikwudinma, appreciated the Ebonyi State Government for facilitating the release of the victims.
Meanwhile, the fate of the driver to the freed Chief Medical Director, who was allegedly shot by the kidnappers, was still not known.
The Chief Medical Director and the two other management staff members were abducted in Ajaokuta by unknown gunmen while returning from Abuja on official assignment.
The kidnapping prompted members of the NMA in Ebonyi State to besiege the entrance of the Government House on Friday to register their grievances over the abduction of their colleagues.
The governor had while receiving the protesting medical practitioners assured them that he would do all within his ability to ensure the release of the victims.
