In a surprising bit of news, a Nigerian man has spent $2.5 million to buy popular American actor/politician Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Bugatti Veyron.
According to reports, Obi Okeke popularly known as Doctor Bugatti spent N902million to acquire the super car which goes 0-60 mph in 2.5 secs only had about 1,000 miles on it.
Obi is also the same luxury car dealer who sold famous boxer Floyd Mayweather a similar car. He also plans to re-sell Arnold’s car.

Doctor Bugatti first came to the United States as a 5-year-old refugee during the Nigerian Civil War in 1967. His mother, who hailed from Ohio, was able to leave the country with him, but his father, who was born in Nigeria, stayed to fight.
After that first move to the US, Okeke returned with his family to Nigeria, where he stayed until he left to attend a private high school in Switzerland.

Four decades later, Okeke, 53, is a fixture in the luxury automobile industry, dealing in cars that cost millions and selling to super rich clients all over the world.

In a video that was recently released, upcoming actress Stephanie Otobo who accused Apostle Johnson Suleman of having an affair with her has claimed that she was forced to tell me that her claims were a lie.
Otobo had accused Apostle Suleman who is the general overseer of Omega Fire Ministry church of having an affair with her. On Friday, January 26, the upcoming singer attended the church and confessed that she was paid to make the accusations.
The upcoming singer, however, released a video on social media stating that she was forced by the Apostle to make the confessions she made. Otobo stated that the Apostle had forced her into claiming that she was hired by unnamed politicians to frame him.

In the video released, Otobo was introduced by two people, Erica and Chidi. She claimed she met the two last year after the news of the scandal broke. She stated that she sought spiritual and moral support from them after the scandal incident left her broken.
Erica and Chidi alleged that Otobo had told them that she was under pressure from Apostle Suleman to apologise and tell people that she was hired by government officials who tried to destroy the preacher’s reputation.
Otobo also backed up their claims in the video. She stated that she was phoned by Apostle Suleman’s agents, stating that they had ordered her to come to Nigeria and confess that she was hired to frame Apostle Suleman.
According to the lady in the video that was reportedly recorded on June 21, 2017, the upcoming singer revealed that she told Chidi and Erica to record the video before she came to Nigeria because she did not know what would happen to her when she returns.
In the video, the young lady also thanked those who supported her. She stated that Apostle Suleman was pressuring her family and others to lie about the scandal.
Chidi also revealed that he received a text from someone who claimed that he worked for Apostle Suleman. He said the person has warned him to desist from releasing more videos.
According to Chidi, the Apostle’s agent also claimed that Otobo has named him as one of the people who tried to frame the preacher. Chidi also revealed that he passed what was said to his lawyers.

Archbishop Samson Benjamin is not the presidential candidate of the All Blending Party (ABP), the party’s chairman, Hon. Moses Godia Shipi, has clarified.
ABP, one of the newly registered political parties was recently flagged off inside the London Hall of the Double Tree Hotel in Docklands, in East London.
Hon. Shipi said during event, the Archbishop, who had earlier met with two British politicians – Lord Sheikh and Ash Zaman, MP, at the Milliband House, in Westminster, was only introduced as one of the party’s strong supporter.
We, however, regret that Archbishop Samson Benjamin was wrongly reported as the party’s presidential candidate.
Also, we sincerely regret the error and the embarrassment this may have caused not only Archbishop Benjamin but also the All Blending Party, ABP.
Scene of a ghastly crash
No fewer than 20 people died in a ghastly motor accident along Kaduna-Abuja expressed way on Sunday night.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Roads Safety Corps in Kaduna State, Umar Ibrahimm disclosed on Monday that the accident occurred around 7 p.m. at Dutse U-turn, 22 kilometres from Kaduna metropolis.
Ibrahim said the accident involved a white DAF articulated vehicle with registration number: AJG118XA and a white Toyota HAICE bus with registration number: XA866MLF.
He said that the 16-seater bus was overloaded with 30 passengers, 29 males and a female going to the southern part of the country.
He said that the accident occurred when the truck that was coming from Abuja axis was trying to make a u-turn at Dutse when the bus coming from Kaduna axis rammed into it, killing 17 people instantly.
“Ten others sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital by an FRSC official, where three of them also died.”
The sector commander said that the truck was going to evacuate cows from a broken down truck closed to the accident scene.
He said that the number of the death was this high because the bus was extremely overloaded.
“The bus was not only overloaded with passengers but also choked with dismembered motorcycles belonging to the passengers, “he said.
He said that the accident caused a trafficking gridlock that lasted for about four hours, saying, “we had to divert traffic to single lane before we were able to clear the wreckage and allow free flow of traffic.”
An eye witness, Kabiru Mohammed, said that he was on his way to Abuja when he came across the accident.
“Initially I thought it was armed robbery in progress, because I saw motorists turning back and taking the other lane, before I saw the articulated vehicle by the u-turn that obstructed traffic.
“On getting there after I took the other lane, I saw a lot of people lying dead, while FRSC officials were trying to take the injured to the hospital.

He starts in on his story again so I say, “listen, Readers Digest has a forum for you, write it down and submit it to them.” He looks at me and says, “What are you, a wise guy?”
It’s my perfect New York response, I’ve only been in the state a few hours. We just walk away laughing and more than a little puzzled.

An official of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC, was attacked by suspected herdsmen, while his group were busy working on the petroleum pipeline at Tse Torkula a border community between Nasarawa and Benue state in Guma local government area of the state
It was reported that the NNPC officials were busy working on the pipeline from Nasarawa state when they came under heavy fire from the armed men which also left some of the officials injured and hospitalized.
Confirming the development, the Benue state Police Commissioner, Fatai Owosenyi said the attack could be regarded as the handiwork of bandits operating in the said area. He said the police will be investigating the matter.

Both were invited by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board to visit Cairo’s most famous sites.
Mr Kosen’s extreme height is due to a condition known as pituitary gigantism, where the brain produces abnormally large amounts of growth hormone.
Ms Jyoti, from Nagpur, has a form of drawfism called achondroplasia.
She is an actress who has appeared in the TV show American Horror Story and Bollywood films.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson firmly denied Wednesday that he had fallen out with Donald Trump and vowed to remain in post, dismissing a report that he had once dubbed the president a “moron.”
For his part, Trump declared he has “total confidence” in his top diplomat, after both had denied an explosive report that Tillerson became so frustrated over the summer that he considered resigning.
According to the NBC News story, which cited “multiple senior administration officials” but was described as “erroneous” by the State Department, Tillerson had referred to Trump as a “moron” at a July 20 Pentagon meeting.
Afterwards, the report said, Tillerson met with Vice President Mike Pence, who urged him to show more respect, and with other senior officials who urged him not to resign.
Appearing before reporters at a hastily organized news conference in the State Department, Tillerson denied the report and pledged Trump his full support.
“There’s never been a consideration in my mind to leave,” the former oil executive said.
“I serve at the appointment of the president and I am here for as long as the president feels I can be useful to achieving his objectives.”
Tillerson’s spokeswoman Heather Nauert later said the secretary had called Trump. “He told me that, Heather, it was quote ‘a good conversation’ and that ‘we’re all good,'” she said.
The former ExxonMobil chief executive’s tenure at the State Department has drawn scorn from Trump’s opponents, from former diplomats and from the Washington policy elite.
He has also been faced with an extraordinary array of foreign policy challenges — from North Korean nuclear threats to Russian subversion to attacks on US diplomats in Cuba.
Taunting tweets
But his efforts have been overshadowed — some would say undermined — by Trump’s un-diplomatic style and his streams of taunting tweets stirring international tensions.
Formerly a respected figure in the oil business, the 65-year-old Texan has been attacked for failing to develop his own political profile and for failing to fight the State Department’s corner.
It is commonplace for him to be described by Washington pundits as the weakest secretary ever — and one scathing Washington Post column this week called him “Donald Trump’s dog.”
But his public loyalty to Trump hasn’t always been rewarded with support from the top.
On Sunday, as Tillerson flew home from meeting with top Chinese officials, Trump tweeted that his envoy was “wasting his time” in trying to probe North Korea’s willingness to talks.
The State Department denied this was a reprimand, insisting Trump had been warning Kim Jong-Un that he should respond quickly to diplomatic overtures or face tougher action.
And, on Tuesday, Tillerson’s cabinet ally Defense Secretary Jim Mattis pointedly told lawmakers at a congressional hearing that he backed the secretary’s North Korea strategy.
But Trump’s Twitter outburst had triggered a new round of speculation.
Richard Haass, former chief policy adviser to then secretary Colin Powell and the 15-year president of the influential Council on Foreign Relations, said Tillerson should go.
“Rex Tillerson has been dealt a bad hand by the Potus & has played it badly. For both reasons he cannot be effective SecState & should resign,” he tweeted Wednesday.
Tillerson came out fighting.
He did not himself directly address the damaging allegation that he had called Trump a “moron” — but Nauert later stated that the secretary “did not use that type of language… he did not say that.”
Tillerson alleged that unidentified others were spreading malicious rumors to tear down the president’s agenda, and vowed: “I do not and I will not operate that way.”
‘Categorically false’
He praised his cabinet colleagues, cited their main achievements, and promised: “There’s much to be done and we’re just getting started.”
And he spoke warmly of Trump.
“He loves his country. He puts Americans and America first. He’s smart. He demands results wherever he goes,” Tillerson said.
Trump tweeted his support immediately after Tillerson’s remarks and later told reporters: “It was fake news. It was a totally phony story.”
The vice president’s office also issued a statement insisting Pence had never discussed Tillerson’s possible resignation, stating: “Any reporting to the contrary is categorically false.”
419 started during a dark period in Nigerian history and it has evolved since then.
419. If anything has to symbolize Nigeria’s bad rep abroad it has to be these three numbers.
“Four hundred and nineteen ways to come up with the right scheme” is a line of a classic Modenine track. At the time it was released, 2004, Nigeria had become a hot spot for advance fee fraud scams.
When you think 419, you think about Nigeria. How did this number come up? 419 is gotten from Section 419 of the Nigerian criminal code which deals with advance fee fraud.
You can trace the upward tick of the advance fee fraud scams in Nigeria from the 80s during the Second Republic. This was a period in Nigerian history when corruption in government circles was more or less institutionalized. Also, Nigeria was in a financial crisis from 1983-1985.
If the 60s was a period of hope and the 70s, the golden years of the country, the 80s was the period the Nigerian dream started to crumble.
It isn’t a coincidence that this was when advanced fee fraud really started. Letters from Nigeria started finding their way to the mailbox of many Europeans. The letters would start with asking about the health of the correspondent before asking for assistance to transfer a large amount of money.
The classic Nigerian prince letter format popped up during these times too. You would get a letter supposedly from a Nigerian prince telling you he has a fortune somewhere that needs to be claimed. He will beg for your assistance to help him reclaim his fortune. Thousands of these letters like this must have found their way to many homes in the Western World. Some people fell for this format and lost their hard earned money.
The 80s and 90s were pretty much the years for the classic 419 scam. A lot of white businessmen were swindled because they fell for too-good-to-be-true business deals. Apart from corruption, and military dictatorship, 419 scams became one of the reasons why Nigeria was a pariah state.
By the turn of the millennium, the format for 419 had changed. Thanks to cyber cafes, young Nigerians got into the 419 game by sending these same letters. This time around it was bigger. Millions of people got the scam e-mails even Nigerians too.
If you had an e-mail from circa 2002, it is certain that you got at least one 419 mail. Flashier than their predecessors, this new batch of fraudsters are known as Yahoo boys- named after the popular search engine Yahoo. These days they go by the more hip name G Boys.
Internet fraud is still very much on today but the height of the criminal enterprise was from the early 00s to the mid-00s. The glory days are over but G Boys are still around and they have their
fingerprints on Nigeria’s music industry » .
A bit of history here. In 1920, a letter from a certain P. Crentsil was sent to a contact in the British Colony of the Gold Coast. In the letter, Crentsil claimed he had magic powers. In his letter, he promised if paid he would use his powers to help his correspondent.
More letters like this popped up in 1921. He was later arrested in December of the same year and charged. He ended up not serving time. According to the Chief of Police in Onitsha Province, he started boasting all around town that he was let off because of his magic powers.
You might be fooled to think that advance fee fraud is just a Naija thing. It is not. The 419 scam is based off what is known as the Spanish Prisoner.
The Spanish Prisoner scam started in the late 18th century. This is how it works. The con artist writes a letter to his mark claiming he is a relation of a wealthy individual who has been imprisoned. The trickster says he cannot reveal the identity of his relative in prison. He then pleads to the mark to help him raise some of the money needed to free his family member. Upon his release, the trickster promises to reward his mark.
You can see how 419 derived its model from the Spanish Prisoner scam.
419, Yahoo is still very much on today. Hand-written letters have switched to e-mails. The scam continues only if you are gullible enough.

A Facebook user » , Babaduks Ons confirmed that the deceased was thrown into the sewage system due to anger concerning her promiscuous lifestyle, which led her to contract an illness that lasted for seven months prior to her death.
It was also alleged that she was involved in incestual activities.
“Reports from her(The girl in the pic) Oro-Ibe family in Elekahia, Port-Harcourt, has it that her father in anger dragged, carried her from his house & threw her into the septic tank (soakaway), where she died.
“According to her dad, she brought shame and reproach to him, and his family and that he could not take it again.
Furthermore, he said she was unable to do anything by herself, including going to use the toilet, as a result of an illness which lasted for more than 7 months.
“The illness was believed to have been contracted through her promiscuity, including a committal of incest,” a statement revealed.
The victim’s corpse was discovered when state police visited her community on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
Police spokesperson, Nnamdi Omoni confirmed that six persons have been arrested in connection to her death.

He also revealed that the corpse of the deceased » has been removed from the septic tank and deposited at a mortuary where an autopsy is expected to be carried out.

Till date, the Akwa Ibom State Government has not compensated the families of the bereaved. The medical bill for the victims is yet to be fully paid. We understand that the government is unable to raise N100m to offset the medical expenses of those who were treated. Nobody has been prosecuted for the collapsed Church building. The report of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry empanelled by the governor to divert attention has been buried. The governor who escaped death during the ill-fated bishopric consecration of his friend, Akan Weeks, is still dancing on the graves of the dead.

That is the man that wants to bribe God with an international worship centre. That is the type of heartless governor that Pastor Adeboye is proud to be associated with, the same governor who rode to power in 2015 on the blood of Akwa Ibom people.
The latest publication by the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics (NBS) places the unemployment rate in Akwa Ibom State as the second highest in Nigeria. This is a state that received over N2 trillion from 2007 to 2015 in federal allocations; the same state that is still receiving the larger percentage of monthly federal allocations.
In Akwa Ibom State today, there is no single industry where 500 people can be gainfully employed. Majority of the youths have been turned to beggars who depend on politicians for survival. The poverty rate in Akwa Ibom State is scandalous. Uncompleted white elephant projects are littered across the state because of the alleged paucity of funds; yet, the government is constructing a multi-billion Naira sepulchre in the name of a state worship centre.
The black man is in need of redemption. Our leaders have gone mad again.
The state governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, is presently building a multi-billion Naira lodge for himself in Lagos State. Despite street protests in Uyo and Lagos by hundreds of Akwa Ibom people against the new Lagos lodge which I was privileged to have led and spearheaded, the governor has chosen to listen to his animalistic instinct rather than the voice of the people by going ahead to construct the new lodge in Lagos State.
The same Udom Emmanuel completed a state-of-the-art edifice for himself in his hometown, Awa, in Onna Local Government Area, within the first six months of his clueless administration. This is a man who publicly boasted about his attainment of a Business School.
Churches are scattered and littered across the length and breadth of Akwa Ibom State. Yet, iniquity is thriving in the state. Politicians are stealing with impunity. The true gospel of salvation and holiness has been replaced with prosperity preaching by many of the so-called pastors in the state. Most politicians see Churches as an extension of the state government.
Many pastors in Akwa Ibom State are engaged in partisan politics. The likes of Archbishop Elijah Mboho, Bishop Cletus Bassey and other pro-government preachers are using religion to give legitimacy to the criminality of the corrupt politicians in Akwa Ibom State.

Pastor Adeboye shamelessly went to lay the foundation of a project that is totally useless to the long-suffering people of Akwa Ibom State without introspection. Why has our so-called religiosity not translated into a better country? Nigerians are the modern day Pharisees.
Akwa Ibom State is not a Christian state. We have Muslims, Atheists, Traditionalists and people of other religious persuasions in the state. It is not the business of the government to build a Church. Section 10 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) states that ‘’The Government of the Federation or of a State shall not adopt any religion as State Religion”. Therefore, Mr. Emmanuel has no business dissipating public funds in building “an international worship centre”.

The suggestion by the state government that some yet to be named Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) will contribute the larger percentage of the cost of the ‘state Church’ is an irresponsible lie. Sensible NGOs do not engage in frivolous religious adventures. They work towards alleviating poverty and improving the standard of life of the people. Nobody is deceived except the gullible.
Did Papa Adeboye ask his host whether pensioners and civil servants have been paid in the state? Did he bother to query Udom Emmanuel on why a government that is running under a secular Constitution should be building a religious centre with public funds and tax payer’s money? Did Adeboye ask Udom Emmanuel why his state is rated the second highest in the country in unemployment despite the stupendous allocations accruing to it?
What exactly is the interest of Adeboye in Akwa Ibom State? Is Jesus Christ proud of Adeboye’s collusion with failed political leaders? I am disgusted by the reprehensible complicity of Pastor Adeboye in the looting and destruction of Akwa Ibom State. Adeboye may have forgotten that judgment will start from the Church.
Let it be known that God is not mocked. The manipulation of religion in Nigeria by corrupt politicians in connivance with commercial pastors will not go unpunished.

Collins Ezenwa, also known as ‘E-Money’, has been shot dead by the operatives of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad during a shootout with kidnap kingpins in Imo State. He was gunned down on Sunday, January 28, 2018
Collins who was said to have had a lavish wedding last November had gone underground with the pretext that he traveled to Malaysia for greener pastures.
According to a Facebook post , “E-Money” returned in December, 2017 with loads of cash making a lot of people green with envy over his new found wealth.
Andrew Enwerem, the Imo State Police public relations officer confirmed that “E-Money” was killed along with two others. Three other members of his gang were arrested.
“E-Money” was allegedly so rich that he bought and gave out cars to people during the last Yuletide.
Also, another member of the kidnap syndicate, Chinwendu Sylvester, 24, from Olori Amaraku in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area, who allegedly operated as the driver, said that he took to kidnapping after Governor Rochas Okorocha demolished his business at Ekeonunwa Market, Owerri.
Chinwendu said that his clothing shop was demolished and he approached a friend who introduced him to the syndicate, where he operated as the driver.
According to him, he has spent three years at the Owerri Prisons for robbery related offences.
He said: “When a job pays, he pays us according to the role we played. One of our victims paid N2million and he gave me about N380,000. From December till date, he gave me above N600,000 in all the operations.”
A police source told newsmen that the gang leader accumulated millions via the crime, saying that “it is unfortunate that we could not capture him alive. He was a multi-millionaire, he bought cars and gave out some to communities where he received chieftaincy tittles.”

Former Arsenal FC striker, Kanu Nwankwo has complained about the takeover of his business by the leadership of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) despite court order.

Former Super Eagles captain, Kanu Nwankwo, has called the attention of the general public to the refusal of AMCON to respect court orders by refusing to release his hotel located in Lagos, to him.
Kanu’s property, known as Hardley Apartment Located at Victoria Island, Lagos, has been put under temporary possession of AMCON.
The property was siezed on account of purported indebtedness which remains unproven since November 2015 till date. Kanu said that his Heart Foundation has been threatened once again with the possession of his hotel by AMCON as the establishment, Hardly Apartment seems to be the source of his funding to Kanu Heart Foundation.
In a statement he issued yesterday, the former Arsenal striker said he wants justice to take its natural course.

A diamond thought to be the fifth largest of gem quality ever found has been discovered in Lesotho, miner Gem Diamonds said Monday, and could be worth as much as $40 million.
The company unearthed the D-colour stone at the Letseng mine in the landlocked southern African country and described the 910-carat find as of
“exceptional quality”.
“Since Gem Diamonds acquired Letseng in 2006, the mine has produced some of the world’s most remarkable diamonds, including the 603 carat Lesotho Promise,” Gem Diamonds chief executive Clifford Elphick said in a statement.
“However, this exceptional top quality diamond is the largest to be mined to date… This is a landmark discovery.”
Ben Davis, a mining analyst at Liberum Capital, speculated in a research note to investors that the diamond could be worth as much as $40 million (33 million euros).
Gem Diamonds shares in London were up 14 percent from the market open to £0.92 a piece.
