Being Miss Kanekalon has shaped my life –Faith Ojeme

Benahili Faith Ojeme, the winner of 2016 Miss Kanekalon beauty show, has said the crown has affected her life positively.
Speaking at an event tagged Arigato stylist event, organised by Kanekalon, the reigning queen stated that she had built up her confidence and had become an outspoken lady since she won the competition.
“It is one thing to dream, it is another to achieve your dreams. Since I won the pageant, my self-esteem has increased as I was usually a shy person. But now, I can express myself and new opportunities are opened to me,”
Revealing she didn’t, in anyway , lobby to win the prestigious crown, the young lady advised ladies who wish to be a part of the next competition next year, not to relent or feel it was meant for those who had connections.
The event, which was hosted by comedian, Koffi and on-air personality, Kayla, was aimed at rewarding stylists in the busty industry in Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, MD, STB McCann, Mrs. Omowunmi Owodunni, said the event was meant to appreciate stylists who had continued to play a vital role in the Nigerian hair industry
“Kanekalon creates platforms for the overall empowerment of the female gender. We equip our women intellectually, physically and financially through various ways. And one of the ways is through constant appreciation of all stakeholders in the beauty industry.”
